Position Overview:
The Chief Vendor Officer (CVO) at TazaMall.com is responsible for developing and managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and marketplace sellers. The CVO plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless vendor onboarding process, negotiating contracts, optimizing supply chain operations, and maintaining high-quality vendor performance. This role requires strong leadership, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking to enhance the marketplace’s vendor ecosystem and ensure a competitive and diverse product selection.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Vendor Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vendor acquisition strategy aligned with TazaMall’s business goals.
- Identify and onboard high-quality vendors, ensuring a diverse and competitive product offering.
- Establish strong relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to create long-term partnerships.
- Define and enforce vendor policies, guidelines, and compliance standards to maintain a trustworthy marketplace.
2. Vendor Onboarding & Support
- Oversee the vendor onboarding process, ensuring it is efficient, user-friendly, and compliant with legal and operational requirements.
- Work with the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to develop an intuitive vendor dashboard that enables smooth inventory management, order processing, and reporting.
- Provide training sessions and resources to educate vendors on best practices, marketplace policies, and optimization strategies.
3. Vendor Performance & Quality Control
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor vendor performance, including delivery timelines, product quality, pricing competitiveness, and customer service.
- Conduct periodic vendor audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with TazaMall’s standards.
- Resolve vendor-related issues, disputes, and complaints in collaboration with the customer service and legal teams.
4. Pricing & Contract Negotiation
- Develop vendor pricing models and commission structures to ensure profitability while remaining competitive.
- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Implement bulk purchase agreements and volume discounts to optimize supply chain costs.
5. Supply Chain Optimization & Logistics
- Work closely with the Chief Operations Officer (COO) to streamline inventory management, warehousing, and fulfillment processes.
- Ensure vendors are meeting shipping and logistics requirements for timely and accurate deliveries.
- Implement data-driven insights to forecast demand, prevent stock shortages, and minimize overstock issues.
6. Vendor Relationship Management & Retention
- Develop engagement programs to enhance vendor loyalty, offering incentives for top-performing vendors.
- Conduct regular vendor meetings and workshops to foster collaboration and address concerns proactively.
- Introduce feedback loops, allowing vendors to share insights and improve their experience on the platform.
7. Integration with Marketing & Sales
- Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to launch promotions, deals, and advertising programs for vendors.
- Assist vendors in optimizing product listings, SEO, and digital advertising strategies.
- Work with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to create commission structures, vendor subscription models, and promotional investment plans.
8. Technology & Innovation
- Partner with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to enhance vendor management systems, ensuring smooth platform integration.
- Implement AI-powered analytics to monitor vendor trends, predict demand, and suggest best-selling products.
- Stay ahead of e-commerce trends, competitor strategies, and emerging vendor engagement technologies.

- Prior experience in a leadership role within a B2B or B2C e-commerce platform is highly desirable.
