Position Overview:

The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) at TazaMall.com is responsible for developing and executing the company’s sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and enhance customer acquisition. The CSO leads the sales team, sets sales targets, builds partnerships, and ensures the company achieves its financial goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in e-commerce, B2B/B2C sales, and digital marketing integration.


Core Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with TazaMall’s business objectives.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities, including subscription models, commission structures, and advertising sales.
  • Set KPIs and sales targets for different revenue streams, including marketplace transactions, vendor partnerships, and promotional sales.

2. Sales Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team specializing in vendor acquisition, customer outreach, and corporate partnerships.
  • Implement a sales performance tracking system using CRM tools and analytics dashboards.
  • Develop incentive programs, commission structures, and performance bonuses to motivate the sales team.

3. B2B & B2C Sales Expansion

  • Strengthen B2B partnerships by onboarding bulk vendors, corporate clients, and large-scale buyers.
  • Optimize B2C sales conversion rates by enhancing customer engagement, improving checkout processes, and personalizing offers.
  • Work closely with the CMO to create cross-promotional campaigns that drive both vendor and customer engagement.

4. Sales Pipeline & Customer Acquisition

  • Develop a data-driven customer acquisition strategy, leveraging AI insights to optimize sales outreach.
  • Implement automated lead generation and follow-up systems to enhance conversion rates.
  • Work with the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to integrate AI-powered recommendation engines that enhance product discovery and upselling.

5. Vendor Sales & Marketplace Growth

  • Collaborate with the Chief Vendor Officer (CVO) to ensure vendors optimize their sales potential on the platform.
  • Develop vendor training programs focused on best-selling strategies, pricing tactics, and customer engagement.
  • Launch seasonal sales promotions and exclusive vendor deals to attract more buyers.

6. Customer Retention & Loyalty Programs

  • Develop and manage customer retention strategies, such as loyalty programs, cashback offers, and personalized deals.
  • Utilize customer feedback, reviews, and behavioral data to refine sales approaches.
  • Ensure that sales efforts align with customer service excellence to build long-term relationships.

7. Data-Driven Sales Optimization

  • Use AI and analytics tools to track sales performance, forecast demand, and optimize pricing strategies.
  • Monitor competitor pricing, market trends, and customer buying behaviors to stay ahead in the market.
  • Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to set realistic revenue goals and adjust strategies accordingly.

8. Integration with Marketing & Technology

  • Collaborate with the CMO to align sales campaigns with digital marketing strategies.
  • Work with the CTO and CDO to integrate sales automation tools and CRM systems.
  • Develop strategies for social commerce, influencer marketing, and affiliate sales.

Key Skills & Qualifications

1. Sales Leadership & Strategic Thinking

  • Proven experience in sales leadership roles within e-commerce, retail, or digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace sales dynamics, vendor relationships, and customer acquisition strategies.

2. Data-Driven Sales Approach

  • Proficiency in sales analytics, CRM tools, and AI-driven customer insights.
  • Ability to interpret market data, sales forecasts, and performance reports to refine strategies.

3. Negotiation & Partnership Building

  • Strong B2B and B2C sales negotiation skills.
  • Experience in developing corporate partnerships, vendor agreements, and large-scale enterprise sales.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Ability to work closely with marketing, technology, finance, and operations teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to align teams with sales objectives.

5. Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in e-commerce or marketplace environments.
  • Prior experience in scaling sales operations for a fast-growing digital platform.
