Position Overview:
The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at TazaMall.com is responsible for leading the development and execution of the company’s human resources strategy to support business objectives and foster a positive organizational culture. The CHRO will play a pivotal role in driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, and organizational growth. As a key member of the executive team, the CHRO will align the human resources function with the strategic goals of TazaMall, ensuring that the company attracts, retains, and develops top-tier talent.


Core Responsibilities:

  1. Human Resources Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive human resources strategy that supports TazaMall’s business goals and fosters a high-performance culture.
    • Work closely with the CEO and other executives to ensure HR initiatives are aligned with the company’s strategic direction and vision.
    • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with legal requirements and support business objectives.
  2. Talent Acquisition:
    • Lead the recruitment strategy for sourcing and attracting top talent across all departments to support TazaMall’s rapid growth.
    • Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring a streamlined, efficient, and candidate-friendly experience.
    • Build strong relationships with recruitment agencies, universities, and other sources to ensure a diverse talent pool.
    • Ensure diversity and inclusion are integral parts of the hiring process.
  3. Employee Engagement and Retention:
    • Foster a positive and inclusive company culture that enhances employee satisfaction, productivity, and retention.
    • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to build a strong employer brand and improve employee morale.
    • Design and oversee initiatives such as recognition programs, wellness programs, and social activities that boost team cohesion and satisfaction.
    • Monitor employee feedback and turnover rates, identifying areas for improvement in employee experience and retention strategies.
  4. Leadership Development and Succession Planning:
    • Identify high-potential employees and create leadership development programs that prepare them for senior roles within the company.
    • Implement succession planning strategies to ensure that TazaMall has a pipeline of skilled leaders for the future.
    • Work closely with department heads to identify leadership gaps and potential successors for critical roles.
  5. Performance Management:
    • Oversee the performance management system, ensuring that employees are set clear objectives, receive regular feedback, and are evaluated fairly.
    • Provide coaching to managers on how to deliver effective performance evaluations, handle difficult conversations, and develop their teams.
    • Develop and execute performance improvement plans where necessary, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and employee development.
  6. Learning and Development:
    • Build a culture of continuous learning and professional development by designing and implementing employee training and development programs.
    • Assess the skill gaps within the organization and recommend development opportunities that enhance individual and team capabilities.
    • Partner with leadership to ensure that employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  7. Compensation and Benefits:
    • Lead the design and management of competitive compensation and benefits packages that attract, retain, and motivate employees.
    • Conduct market research to ensure the company offers competitive salaries and benefits while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
    • Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including healthcare, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  8. Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on workplace issues, ensuring a fair and respectful working environment.
    • Address and resolve employee conflicts and grievances in a professional and timely manner.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, handling employee relations matters with tact and professionalism.
  9. HR Systems and Analytics:
    • Oversee the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to ensure that HR data is accurately captured and easily accessible for decision-making.
    • Use HR analytics to track key metrics such as turnover rates, employee engagement, and training effectiveness, making data-driven recommendations to improve HR practices.
    • Evaluate and implement HR technologies and tools that streamline HR processes and improve the employee experience.
  10. Organizational Development:
    • Work closely with leadership to assess the organizational structure and make recommendations for improvements to ensure alignment with business needs.
    • Lead efforts to optimize workflow, improve cross-functional collaboration, and increase overall organizational effectiveness.
    • Drive change management initiatives to support the company’s growth and any restructuring or process improvement efforts.
