Position Overview:
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) at TazaMall.com will oversee and manage the company’s day-to-day operations to ensure smooth execution of business processes. The COO will be responsible for optimizing operational efficiency, implementing business strategies, and driving operational excellence across all departments. This role requires strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and the ability to align day-to-day operations with the company’s strategic objectives.


Core Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop and implement efficient operational strategies that align with the company’s business goals and growth objectives.
    • Oversee the execution of operational plans and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure goals are being met.
    • Continuously assess business operations to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
  2. Operational Leadership:
    • Lead the operations team, including managers and key department heads, to ensure effective collaboration and delivery of operational goals.
    • Provide leadership and direction to ensure that operational teams work efficiently and meet performance targets.
    • Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the organization.
  3. Cross-Department Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other executives, such as the CEO, CFO, CTO, and CMO, to ensure alignment across all functions of the business.
    • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure budgets and financial resources are allocated efficiently to meet operational needs.
    • Partner with the marketing and sales teams to support growth initiatives, customer acquisition, and retention strategies.
  4. Process Optimization:
    • Identify, design, and implement processes to improve business productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
    • Utilize technology and automation tools to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes and make recommendations for changes where necessary.
  5. Supply Chain and Logistics Management:
    • Oversee supply chain and logistics functions, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of products and services.
    • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that contracts, agreements, and performance meet operational standards.
    • Implement best practices in inventory management, shipping, and order fulfillment to optimize service delivery.
  6. Customer Experience and Satisfaction:
    • Ensure that operational activities are aligned with delivering exceptional customer experiences.
    • Oversee the customer support operations, ensuring quick resolution of issues and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
    • Monitor and address customer feedback to enhance operational processes and improve the overall customer journey.
  7. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and success.
    • Analyze data and prepare reports to provide insight into the operational health of the company.
    • Present reports and operational updates to the executive team and board of directors, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  8. Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Identify potential risks that could impact operations and develop risk management strategies to mitigate those risks.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, legal standards, and internal policies.
    • Oversee the implementation of safety standards, procedures, and protocols to ensure a secure operational environment.
  9. Budgeting and Cost Management:
    • Work with the finance team to prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring financial discipline across departments.
    • Identify areas of operational inefficiency and implement measures to control costs while maintaining service quality.
    • Make data-driven decisions to manage operational expenditures effectively and improve profitability.
  10. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    • Lead initiatives for operational innovation, ensuring that TazaMall.com remains competitive in the marketplace.
    • Encourage and drive a culture of continuous improvement by exploring new methodologies, technologies, and tools.
    • Support the development of a learning and development framework to keep the operations team updated on industry trends and best practices.

    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and drive operational improvements.
    • Experience with operational reporting tools and performance management systems.
    • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.

  6. Education and Experience:

    • Previous experience in e-commerce or retail operations is a plus.
