Position Overview:
As the Founder of TazaMall.com, Engr. Waqar Khokhar is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company, overseeing operations, driving innovation, and ensuring the long-term success of the business. The founder plays a critical role in establishing company culture, attracting key stakeholders, securing funding, and managing key relationships.
Core Responsibilities:
- Vision and Strategy:
- Define and communicate the company’s mission, vision, and values.
- Develop a clear business strategy and ensure its successful execution.
- Guide the overall direction of the company, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
- Regularly assess the company’s performance against long-term goals and make adjustments as necessary.
- Leadership and Team Building:
- Build, lead, and inspire a team of professionals, including co-founders, department heads, and employees.
- Establish company culture, fostering a collaborative, transparent, and innovative work environment.
- Act as a mentor and coach to key team members, ensuring alignment with company values and vision.
- Oversee recruitment and talent acquisition, ensuring the right fit for the company’s growth.
- Business Development & Networking:
- Establish and nurture relationships with potential business partners, investors, and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at conferences, events, and meetings to promote the business and strengthen brand presence.
- Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and growth markets to expand the company’s reach.
- Spearhead new product or service launches and ensure effective market penetration.
- Operational Oversight:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth workflows across all departments.
- Ensure efficient use of resources and implement cost-effective measures without compromising quality.
- Monitor operational KPIs and address bottlenecks or performance issues.
- Lead the development and improvement of the company’s internal processes and systems.
- Innovation & Product Development:
- Lead the product development process, working closely with the CTO to ensure the marketplace platform is user-friendly, innovative, and scalable.
- Encourage a culture of continuous innovation, ensuring TazaMall remains at the forefront of e-commerce trends.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and data analytics to enhance the user experience.
- Oversee user feedback and market research to continuously improve TazaMall’s offerings.
- Financial Management & Fundraising:
- Manage the financial health of the business, ensuring proper budgeting and resource allocation.
- Develop financial projections and track the company’s revenue and expenses.
- Oversee fundraising efforts, including pitching to investors, securing capital, and managing investor relations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, legal obligations, and corporate governance standards.
- Marketing and Brand Strategy:
- Work closely with the CMO to define the brand’s identity and marketing strategy.
- Ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Develop and execute a customer acquisition strategy, focusing on scalability and cost-effectiveness.
- Represent TazaMall in the media, building its reputation as an innovative and trusted marketplace.
- Customer & Vendor Relations:
- Ensure high-quality customer support, working with the team to provide timely and helpful solutions.
- Oversee the development of relationships with vendors and service providers on the platform.
- Implement customer and vendor feedback to improve platform features and offerings.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and vendor success on the platform.
- Legal & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and industry-specific requirements for the marketplace.
- Work with legal advisors to draft contracts, agreements, and terms of service.
- Monitor and manage risks related to intellectual property, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
- Exit Strategy & Long-term Planning:
- Develop an exit strategy that aligns with the long-term interests of the company and investors.
- Explore options for the company’s growth, including IPO, acquisition, or continued reinvestment.
- Plan for long-term sustainability and expansion into global markets.
